Does Landlord Insurance cover unpaid rent?

For an additional premium, you can add Tenant Default to your policy. This offers you protection in the event your tenant fails to pay their rent or leaves unexpectedly. You’ll be reimbursed for your lost net rental income after your tenant stops paying, then continue until the rental payments resume or your property is re-tenanted. We will pay up to 15 weeks less any applicable excesses which includes the additional excess stated on your Insurance Certificate.
